Crayons are an NPD brand creation of fabulously fruity, crayon-shaped ice lollies, bursting with real fruit juice… and are designed for smaller hands!

THE BRIEF: This NPD came to us with no name, and a blank sheet of paper. Create a brand for these crayon-shaped ice lollies, that are bursting with real fruit juice… go!

THE OPPORTUNITY: The unique shape of the ice lollies of course drove everything from the naming to the visual language, and tone of voice. A tasty celebration of creativity and colouring-in, with a sense of humour and a cheeky smile!

CREATIVE PLAY: We wanted the pack to be interactive, so left the side of pack blank and in outline to be coloured in by the kids… prizes for the best!

REASSURANCE: Clearly flagging the product benefits, helps reassure the purchaser in products aimed at younger people.

MERCHANDISING: It was a natural fit to have brand merchandise that centred around creativity, and encouraging kids to draw.

BRAND VISUAL LANGUAGE: The idea of hand writing and colouring-in gave us a natural visual language for all other touch-points.

BRAND TONE OF VOICE: We wanted our tone of voice to be as fun as the product itself, and perhaps a little bit cheeky!
